When working with search profiles in MT Connect, cancellations depend on whether the profile has a fixed end date or is set to “keep active.”
Profiles with a fixed end date
- If a buyer creates a search profile with a specified end date, you are obligated to deliver content for that profile until the specified date.
- Once the end date is reached, the profile will automatically expire and you should stop the delivery.
“Keep Active” profiles
- Some profiles are created without an end date and are set as “keep active.”
- Buyers can decide to cancel these profiles at any time, but they must provide at least 3 months’ notice.
Cancellation Notification
- When a buyer cancels a “keep active” profile, you will receive an email notification.
- The email will specify the delivery end date, which will always be at least 3 months from the date of the cancellation request.
- You are required to continue delivering content until that end date.
This process ensures that both buyers and suppliers have a clear and fair timeline for cancellations, avoiding disruption in content delivery.
