Using the Bulk Search Feature

1 min read

If you have a long media list, the Bulk Search feature in MT Connect lets you quickly match it to sources in our database using a CSV file. It’s ideal for speeding up the source selection process.

Step 1: Download the sample CSV

Bulk Search Sources

For the best results:

  • Click the Bulk Search button in the Sources view.
  • A window will open where you can download a CSV sample.
This sample includes the correct format and fields to help ensure accurate matching.

Step 2: Upload your media list

Once your media list is ready and saved as a CSV:

  • In the same Bulk Search window, click the upload area to browse and select your file, or simply drag and drop the file into the space provided.

Step 3: Review the results

After uploading, the system will display a bulk search results window. On the left you will see the source name with information if there is a possible match or the source couldn’t be matched.

For each matched source:

  1. Click the source name to review the match.
  2. If the source is correct, click on it to confirm your selection.
  3. If you selected the wrong source, use the “Clear selection” option (in green) next to the source name to undo the action.

Step 4: Confirm and assign

When you’re done reviewing matches:

  • Click “Confirm (X sources)”.
  • A pop-up window will ask where you’d like to save them:
    • Add to a Group
    • Add to a Search Profile

Note: You don’t have to confirm all sources at once.
You can confirm and save some to one group/profile, and return later to assign the rest to another.

Step 5: Exit

When you’re done working with the bulk search list, simply click Cancel to close the Bulk Search window.
